Announcement/ Call for Applications:

The following Post Graduate Diploma programmes are currently offered through theTerna Engineering College (TEC) under the Terna Public Charitable Trust (TPCT) . The proposed Terna Global University (TGU) will become the parent University/ Institution floating all the programmes offered by Terna Group.

We are glad to announce the opening of admission process for Indian students for Full-time Post Graduate Diploma in the following areas at the TGU-Nerul, Navi Mumbai Campus for the academic session commencing in September 2019.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for admission to the Post Graduate Diploma Programmes, the applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree or equivalent (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirement of 15 years of formal education) from a recognized Indian/ International University.
  • Applicants from General category should have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline/ stream to be eligible to apply.
  • Seats will also be reserved for SC/ ST/ OBC and Economically weaker sections as per the Government of India norms.
  • Applicants from SC/ ST/ OBC/ Economically weaker sections should have a minimum of 35% aggregate marks or equivalent in any discipline to be eligible to apply.

Admission Process

Step 1 : Submission of Online Form :
  • To apply, kindly use the below link and submit the online application form along-with all the enclosures (listed in Section VI) before the deadline (3 August 2019).

Step 2 : Written Test and Personal Interview
  • Short-listed applicants will be called for Written Test and Personal Interviews at Nerul campus between 8 August – 10 August 2019.
  • Please note, applicants with a valid GMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT scores will be exempted from the Written Test but will undergo the Personal Interview process (based on the assessment of the selection committee).
  • Similarly, applicants from Armed forces [stated under Section V (c)] will also be exempted from Written Test but will undergo Personal Interviews as part of the selection process.

Step 3: Acceptance of Admission/ Joining of the programme
  • Selected candidates will be immediately communicated the result.
  • Students who accept the offer will be completing the admission formalities as per the above-mentioned timeline.

Applicants must ensure that the following documents are ready and available at the time of the application.

  2. Proof of Nationality – Scanned copy of valid Adhar Card OR Pan card OR Passport
  3. Latest Photograph (JPEG format)
  4. Scanned copy of the Signature (in black or blue pen) – JPEG format
  5. Income proof/ Proof of funds/ Scholarship (if any)
  6. A typed copy of the Statement of Interest (in English) [in about 1500 words for each applied programme OR Note on Why are you Interested in applying for this particular Post Graduate Diploma Programme?
  7. One Reference Letter (From last/ current University faculty/ Employer)
  8. Bonafide Certificate issued by your college, if you are pursuing final year degree (Bachelors)
  9. Scanned Copy of valid GMAT/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT scores
  10. Work Experience Certificate/ No Objection Certificate from the Current Employer (If any)
  11. Students will have to make the application fee payment to the above mentioned account via NEFT/ online transfers and attach the receipt of proof of payment of application form during submission of application form.

Reservation shall be as per Government guidelines.




Important Information

  • Interested applicants can apply for max. 3 programmes, based on their areas of interest/ motivation
  • Student have to write a attach - a typed copy of the Statement of Interest (in English for each applied programme )
  • Application Fees of Rs. 1000 per programme (has to be paid at the time of the application)
  • Admission will be offered based on the priority of Programme(s) mentioned by the student in the Online Application form. So applicants have to ensure that they mention the correct programme preference.
  • Canvassing in any form and at any stage of the selection processes will lead to disqualification
  • If any statement furnished by the student is found incorrect at any time, he/she will be liable to be debarred permanently from the course, and will not be eligible to apply to any other course in TGU.
  • Applicants need to ensure that they have read the course related information carefully before applying.
  • Applications for full-time Post Graduate Diploma programmes will be accepted only during the admission process/ period.
  • Selected students will have to report to the Institute by 29 August 2019 to complete the official registration processes and admission formalities.
  • Each programme leading to the award of a Post Graduate Diploma comprises a predefined set of courses of study including a number of courses, a research dissertation, internships, and other activities, each of which is assigned specific credits or maybe non-credited, but compulsory. Each programme is defined by a minimum requirement of total credits to be completed satisfactorily for the purpose of the award of a diploma, within a stipulated minimum and the maximum period of study.
